Anisha Bharkas joins the PASSHE Foundation as Student Engagement and Scholarship Manager, bringing several years of experience in student success, scholarship and grant administration, and access and retention programming.

Most recently, Anisha served as Assistant Director for Undergraduate Enrichment at Temple University, where she managed a portfolio of scholarship and enrichment programs, led a team of student research ambassadors, and organized the university's flagship undergraduate research symposium. She is committed to expanding access to educational opportunity and building the infrastructure students need to thrive.

Anisha holds a BA in History from Pomona College, where she was a Posse Foundation Scholar, an MPhil in World History from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and an MA in History from Northwestern University. She is passionate about fostering the kind of engaged, supportive scholarship communities that helped shape her own path.

Outside of work, Anisha, an enthusiastic South Philly resident, enjoys writing poetry, exploring her neighborhood, and spending time with her husband, dog, and community.
