Scholarship Opportunities
2017-18

AT&T STEM Award

  • Must be a resident of Pennsylvania
  • Must be a full-time student at one of the 14 State System universities
  • Must be pursuing a degree in a STEM related major with the intention of working in the computer technology, advanced manufacturing or energy related industries
  • Must be a junior or senior who has earned more than 60 college credits with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have demonstrated financial need based on the need analysis from FAFSA

Dr. Lou Bohl-Fabian Memorial Fund

  • Graduate students at State System universities that are involved in studies focused on research, the environment/outdoors, political science or the arts
  • Must have GPA of 3.5 or better

Fitz Dixon Memorial Scholarship

  • Undergraduate students that have passed 45 credits at a State System university with at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Graduate students that have passed at least 9 credits at a State System university with at least a 3.5 GPA

Wayne G. Failor Scholarship Fund

  • Full-time student at Shippensburg University who is accepted into The Washington Center's 2017 summer internship program

Barbara Greenlee's "I Believe in You Scholarship"

  • Must be a graduate of The Nativity School and Bishop McDevitt High School
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at a State System university
  • Must have demonstrated financial need based on analysis from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or equivalent grade percentage

William D. Greenlee Scholarship

  • Undergraduate students that have passed 60 credits at a State System university with at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must major in political science, journalism or communications
  • Must have financial need

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Hospitality Scholarship

  • Be a full-time student at one of the 14 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Universities
  • Be a resident of Pennsylvania
  • Have a major in a hospitality, marketing, human resources, information technology or criminal justice
  • Earned and passed 60 college credits
  • Show academic promise by upholding a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Complete the application by the deadline date

Highmark Healthcare Scholarship for Rising Juniors

  • Must be a resident of Pennsylvania and enrolled as a full-time student at one of the 14 State System universities.
  • Must be pursuing a degree in the healthcare profession such as: informatics, computer science*, information technology*, allied health or a healthcare field such as, nursing, pre-physician assistant, pre-medicine, biology, health science, audiology, speech pathology, medical imagery, health science and physical therapy.
  • Must be a rising junior for the Fall 2017 semester who has earned 60 credits with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA.

*Students majoring in IT or computer science may be eligible for a paid internship with Highmark and will be notified about the details of this additional opportunity.

M&T Bank Scholarship

  • Must reside in Cumberland, Dauphin or Franklin county
  • Must have demonstrated financial need
  • Must be in top 25% of high school graduating class with a GPA or 3.0 or higher
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at a State System university

Momentum, Inc. Healthcare Scholarship

  • Must reside in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry or York counties
  • Must be a full-time junior or senior at a State System university
  • Must have a major in a health-care related field including biology and healthcare informatics
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better 

PA State System Board Chair

  • Must be full-time students in good standing at one of the 14 State System universities with a GPA of at least 3.2
  • Demonstrate financial need based on standard need analysis from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Demonstrated leadership aspirations at the university or in the community

PinnacleHealth Health Care Industry Scholarship for Rising Juniors and Seniors

  • Must be a full-time junior or senior at one of the 14 State System universities.
  • Must have graduated from a high school located within 20 miles of Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital at 111 South Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
  • Must be pursuing a degree in a field that benefits the health care industry including, but not limited to: allied health, nursing, health science, biology, pre-medicine, pre-physician assistant, marketing, information technology or human resources.
  • Must have earned 60 credits or more with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

PPL Community Scholarship Award

  • Must be full-time student who has earned 60 or more credits
  • Must reside in one of the following PA counties (PPL's service area): Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lackawanns, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Susquehanna, Union, Wayne, Wyoming and York
  • Must show academic promise
  • Must have demonstrated financial need
  • Must be majoring in energy and related fields such as STEM and Business Management

PSECU (Credit Union Industry)

  • Must be a full-time student at one of the 14 State System universities with a major in finance, business, marketing, human resources, information technology or crimimal justice
  • Must be a rising junior or senior and completed 60 credits or more at time of application
  • Must be a resident of Pennsylvania
  • Must show academic promise with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA

PSECU (CCP Transfer Students)

  • Must have earned an AA or AS degree from the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP)
  • Must be a CCP transfer student in good standing at Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education @ Center City pursuing first-time baccalaureate degree
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have demonstrated financial need

PSECU (International Study)

  • Full-time undergraduate students at State System universities
  • Must be Pell Grant or PHEAA qualified
  • Resident of PA
  • Must be participating in a institutionally approved overseas program
  • Must be in good academic and judicial standing

PSECU (Lives of Achievement)

  • Full-time students at State System Universities who are accepted into one of The Washington Center's internship programs

PSECU (Transfer Students)

  • Student must be a PA resident
  • Must be a PA community college transfer student who has earned an associate's degree
  • Must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student earning his/her first baccalaureate degree from a State System university
  • Must demonstrate financial need based on standard need analysis as determined by the FAFSA application

Arthur Williams Phillips Scholarship

  • Must be a resident of Butler, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, or Venango Counties in Pennsylvania
  • Must have positive academic success
  • Must have financial need

Quido and Anna Pichini

  • Full-time student or incoming freshman at a State System university
  • Must be a PA resident.  Berks county residents given preference
  • Must have GPA of 3.5 or better (high school or university)
  • Must participate in voluntary service at his/her university, high school or community

Stephen and Sandy Sheller Scholarship
for Women of Tomorrow (WOT) in Philadelphia

  • Graduate of the WOT in Philadelphia program
  • Enrolled as a full-time student for fall 2017 at one of the 14 State System universities
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated financial need based on analysis from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Wells Fargo

  • Must be an incoming freshman at a State System university
  • Must reside in Allegheny, Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Pike or York county in PA
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA
  • Must be in the top 25% of high school graduating class with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
